Senegal international Amdy Faye will play no further part of what is left of the rest of the season for his English Premier League club Stoke City as the result of his back injury. The midfielder has not featured since the home victory over Bolton on March 4, and the club’s medical experts have since deemed that the problem can only be corrected by surgery. “I’m afraid Amdy will be out for the rest of the season now because they’ve decided he needs the operation,” Stoke manager Tony Pulis said. “Again, it’s a disappointment for us because Amdy has done well for us this season and we’re now missing quite a few players.” |
