The biggest game in Ghana football season will be played this weekend when arch rivals Hearts of Oak travel to Kumasi face Asante Kotoko in what promises to be a fiery encounter.

Matches between the two sides are historically tense but the fever pitch for Sunday's has reached new heights.

The fact that both sides have got a chance of winning the league in the tight competition locally known as "bumper-to-bumper" will draw fans to the stadium.

Both sides have been weakended by the absence of key players who are on international duty playing with the local Black Stars in the CHAN qualifier against Burkina Faso also on Sunday.

Hearts will be without key defender Karimu Alhassan while Kotoko have lost midfielders Jordan Opoku and Daniel Nii Adjei.

But the Accra side has been boosted by the return from injury of striker Bernard Don Bortey who has been a torn in the flesh of Kotoko defenders in their recent clashes.

Hearts, who are third on the table with with 35 points, will keep the heat on leaders Aduana who are on 37 points.

Newly-promoted Aduana must beat Kessben to keep their place at the top because second-placed AshGold who are also on 35 points are favourites to beat Real Tamale United in Obuasi.

The battle at the bottom of the table is also intense with Wise seeking a win over Heart of Lions to aid their quest to beat the drop.

Another struggling team Hasaacas' will play out of their skins but they will probably get beaten by All Stars in Wa who are hardly defeated at home.

King Faisal will travel to Accra to play Great Olympics while Arsenal to on Liberty Professionals.
