A defensive midfielder who made his debut for the US National team four years ago, his fiery temper has cost him from making further appearances. A recent run of good form has seen the former college product get a recall from coach Bob Bradley, Clark is a former US youth team player who has the experience of playing in major international competitions.

His credentials include being part of the USA U-20 team at the 2003 U-20 FIFA World Cup in the UAE, more importantly he had the opportunity as recently as 2007 of playing in the Copa America.

Clark does have the promise to be a regular for the Americans and if he is able to focus on the strong points of his game, which include his tough tackling and hard work carrying the ball from the back all the way up the field. The chances are that he could win back his place.
