This tall lanky defender is one of four All White players who ply their trade in America. Andy Boyens does not have a lot of experience playing for his country having only represented them on eight occasions. The no-nonsense defender made his international debut in 2007 coming on as a substitute in 5-1 loss to European giants Spain.

Boyens, unfortunately, finds himself down the pecking order in the New Zealand squad often playing second fiddle to Ryan Nelson and Ben Sigmund. But now with the injury to Nelson Boyens could find himself as a regular starter.
