Saladin Said of Ethiopia

Ethiopia climbed to the top of Group A with a 2-0 win over the Central African Republic in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Addis Ababa Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Said Saladin was the hero for the Black Lions yet again as he scored a brace to hand his side maximum points.

The 23-year-old gave his side the lead before the break when he opened the scoring in the 38th minute and sealed the victory with his second goal of the match in the 88th minute.

Saladin has now scored three goals in two matches after finding the back of the net last weekend as they held South Africa to a 1-1 draw.

Sewnet Bishaw’s men are now on top of the table with four points, one point ahead of the Central African Republic.

South Africa are in third in the group with two points following their 1-1 draw against Botswana, who sit at the bottom with a single point.

The Black Lions will face Benin in a 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Sunday before resuming their World Cup qualifiers against Botswana in March next year.
