DR Congo ease to Togo win
DR Congo have got their first points of the
2014 FIFA World Cup group stages with a 2-0 home win over Togo in Kinshasa on
Sunday.
The victory was achieved despite the home
side being reduced to 10 men six minutes before halftime with the sending off
of Albert Mutamba.
By that time DR Congo were already ahead
though as Tresor Mputu put them in front early on.
And they extended that lead despite their
numerical disadvantage when Dieumerci Mbokani netted a penalty in the second period.
