Ljubijankic was the 2006 - 2007 Slovenian Football writers player of the year when he was playing for Domazle in his country's domestic championship.

He played more than 105 games for Domazle between 2002 and 2008 and scored in excess of 40 goals.

He has spent the last two seasons playing in the Beligum league with Gent, he made his debut for the Slovenian's in February 2006 and scored on his debut during a 1-0 win over Cyprus.
