Kisho Yano has represented his country at various youth levels and is hoping to translate his form in the Japanese Youth structures into the National first team.

Yano’s professional football career began after high school when he joined the J. League side Kashiwa Reysol. Then in 2006, He was transferred to Niigata where he quickly established himself as a first-choice forward and made a name for himself.

Presently he plays his club football for Albirex Niigata. Born on 5 April 1984, Yano was a member of the Japan team for the 2001 FIFA U-17 World Championship finals where he scored one goal.

He was capped as a full international when he was sent on the pitch as a substitute on 24 March 2007 in a friendly against Peru. He was a member of the Japan team for the 2007 AFC Asian Cup finals and played two games as a substitute.

Yano's first international goal was an injury time winner against Switzerland on 11 September 2007 in a friendly played in Klagenfurt.
