African flag bearers at the 2012 Olympics women’s football event South Africa will finalise their build-up for the London games in Germany.

Banyana Banyana coach Joseph Mkhonza told MTNFootball.com after they held African champions Nigeria to a 0-0 draw in a final friendly match on the African continent that they will now round up their preparations in Germany.

“We will be in Germany for our last round of preparation where we will play Germany, Britain and Wales,” said Mkhonza.

"We have been preparing for the Olympics because we want to represent the continent of Africa well in London.

“We have been to Cyprus, where we faced the likes of Denmark and Northern Ireland. We played four games there won one, lost two and drew one.

“Our game against Nigeria was also a good test for us as we all know Nigeria are a power house when we talk of female football.”

The South Africa women are drawn against Sweden, Canada and Japan at the London Olympics.

Africa's other representatives in the women's football event in London are Cameroon.
