Question: Which clubs in the English Premiership have never relegated?
Answer:
There are perhaps a couple of parts to this question. If you are asking which club has never been relegated from the English Premiership since its formation in 1992, there answer is that there are seven of them – Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
If you are asking which team has never been relegated EVER, the answer is … none.
Arsenal hold the record for the most consecutive seasons in the top-flight – 85 – having last won promotion in 1919 (note that there was no top-flight football between 1939 and 1945 due to the Second World War).
Everton, meanwhile, hold the record for the most ever seasons in the top-flight, 108. They last won promotion after a brief spell in the second tier in 1954.
