Nigeria winger Ahmed Musa has said he hopes to score against mighty Real Madrid on his UEFA Champions League debut Tuesday.

Only 18 months ago, Musa was featuring in the Nigeria Premier League and now he comes face-to-face with one of world football’s top clubs.

The former JUTH FC and Kano Pillars star, who has been looking forward to the game which will make him come head-to-head with boyhood idol Cristiano Ronaldo, told MTNFootball.com that he is hoping to have a good game and cap it with goal and victory.

"The day has come, I have been waiting for the match, I want to make impact in the game being my first in UEFA Champions League,” said Musa, a winter signing from Dutch club VVV Venlo who has fired two goals in build-up games for his new club.

“I want victory and a goal to my name.

“It will be a tough game playing against one of the best in the world. I will let Ronaldo know that he is facing a player who has already been likened with his style."

The Red army team will be without several of their top stars through injury or suspension.

And the wintry conditions in Moscow would also play a part in the final outcome of this Round of 16 match-up.
