Real Madrid's Jose Callejon celebrates his goal with Kaka
Ajax Amsterdam crashed out of the Champions League following their 3-0 loss to Real Madrid at the Amsterdam Arena on Wednesday night.

A brace from Jose Callejon and another goal from Gonzalo Higuain saw the Dutch side bowing out with Olympique Lyon completing a 7-1 rout over Dinamo Zagreb.

The home side opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Jose Callejon broke the offside trap before slotting the ball past Kenneth Vermeer.

Ajax were denied an equalizer in the 32nd minute when Gregory van der Weil fired a low shot from outside the area which was spilled by Real goalkeeper Adan; Lodeiro headed the ball in from the rebound but the referee’s assistant flagged for offside.

The home side were denied yet another goal four minutes later when Anita took a shot from the edge of the area which deflected off Sulejmani into the back off the net, but yet again the goal was ruled out for offside.

To make matters worse for Frank de Boer’s side, Madrid extended their lead in the 41st minute when Higuain beat the offside trap and curled the ball past the goalkeeper.

Callejon completed his brace in the second minute of added time when he latched onto a great pass from Xabi Alonso before rounding the goalkeeper and slotting the ball into an open net.

Ajax will feel hard done by following those disallowed goals but Real Madrid have achieved their perfect winning record in the Champions  League group stage.
