We must focus against Olympiacos – Gervinho
Gervinho, Arsenal
Arsenal head into their first home fixture in this season’s Champions League group stage on a low after losing 2-1 to Chelsea, who dispatched The Gunners to their first English Premiership loss of this campaign.
The Cote d’Ivoire striker told Arsenal’s official website that it was important to keep their 100 percent run in Group B when they host the Greek champions at The Emirates, where their guests have yet to win in two previous visits at the same stage of the competition.
“It’s a big disappointment. But we need to swallow this defeat and to focus again on Wednesday's game - because that is another big game," Gervinho said.
Wednesday’s meeting will be the second successive clash between the two teams at the same stage.
Arsenal beat Olympiacos 2-1 also on match-day two on September 28, 2011, following another 2-0 home win in the same round in the 2009/2010 season.
Arsene Wenger’s side are currently tied at the top of Group B on three points after match-day one.
Olympiacos are searching for their first win after losing 2-1 to joint leaders Schalke of Germany on match-day one.
