Mauri hungry to eliminate Juve & bring Roman pride
Stefano Mauri has expressed his desire to see Lazio come out victorious against Juventus in the Coppa Italia semi-final
The Biancocelesti are in the driving seat to eliminate last year’s runners-up, after they shared the spoils last week in a 1-1 draw in Turin.
The skipper believes winning the trophy would bring pride to the blue half of Eternal City.
“The Juve game is worth a great deal. It’s important to get to the Coppa Italia final, we’ve overcome every hurdle with ease so far, aside from the Siena game,” he said in the pre-match press conference.
“We’ve won the trophy in the past and it’s something we want to do again. It would represent a particular feeling, for us and for the entire city.”
