No Milan contact for Chivu

Christian Chivu has confirmed that Inter’s cross-city rivals Milan never sought after his services before signing a new contract.
With his contract edging closer to its expiration date the Romanian’s future was long in doubt up until last week, when he signed a new deal tying him to Inter for two more years.
After months of having not being able to finalise an agreement with the club, Chivu was linked with a move to Milan, but he admits there was no contact from the red and black half of Milan.
“Milan sought after me? Never,” the defender told Il Corriere dello Sport. “In Italy I never spoke to anyone.
“After Inter I never saw another team where I could go to.”
