The Brazilian defender’s future was constantly placed in the dark after numerous attempts from the Ligue 1 outfit and despite having extended his contract with the Rossoneri, he found himself transferred.
“My sale was business for Milan,” he told reporters at the Olympics. “I would have stayed but the company was in trouble.
“To them it was a bargain because they paid €10m and I was resold at €42m.”
Thiago Silva spent three years at Milan, where he played an instrumental part in helping Milan win their 18th Serie A title in May 2011.
