Lichsteiner backs investigated Juve stars
Serie A
The Bianconeri turned out 2-0 victors against the German club on Saturday afternoon, in a match which saw the Swiss full back in a higher physical condition than most of his teammates.
“It was a good test and I’m happy about my individual performance and the team’s display as a whole,” Lichsteiner told Juve’s official website. “I enjoy testing myself in other positions and it’s always useful for the side to have further options.”
Coach Antonio Conte and players Simone Pepe and Leonardo Bonucci are all under investigation for the potential match-fixing charges, but Lichsteiner has confirmed the unity that is behind them.
“Juventus is a big family and we’re all with the manager, Leo, Simone and the staff who are involved. They’re great professionals and have our full support.”
