Juventus’ latest signing Kwadwo Asamoah has
become an instant hit since his transfer from Udinese and admits Andrea Pirlo
is his idol.
The Ghanaian
completed his move to Turin from Udinese and was welcomed to chants of ‘Asa,
Asa, Asa’ by the home fans, something he is humbled by.
“I didn’t expect
it to be like this - it’s incredible,” he admitted to DJ Nana and Valeria
Ciardiello. “When I hear the fans shouting during training it’s important to
me. It’s nice the fans have been so kind.”
The 23-year-old
will partner Italy international Pirlo in the midfield and has admitted to a
taken a liking to coach Antonio Conte.
“I immediately
got on with Antonio Conte and all of my team-mates. There’s a real family
spirit here at Juventus. I’m excited about playing for the same team as Andrea
Pirlo, who has always been my idol.”
