Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini made a swipe against the Milan club’s labeling them as small while adding his thoughts on Juventus.

The outspoken businessman gave his thoughts on the coming season and has suggested that Milan need to undergo change just like Juve did because they are turning into a small club.

“Juve are strangely above everyone else,” he told Radio Radio. “In recent years this did not happen so now happens partly because of demerits of the other [teams].”

Juventus managed to win their first title since coming back from Serie B in 2007, while Milan are undergoing a transition which has seen eight players depart, including Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic: a result which has lead Zamparini to believe they are diminishing.

“Milan must open a new cycle, like Juventus did when they were in Serie B, which then gave them fruit,” added the 71-year-old.

“Inter has become a small Inter, AC Milan is becoming small even if they did well in the leaving transfer market.”
