Gianluca Vialli is of the belief that Juventus can once again be competitive in Europe should they sign a top striker.

The Bianconeri have once again been ruthless on the transfer market, bringing in Kwadwo Asamoah, Mauricio Isla, Paul Pogba and Lucio.

“I like the team that is emerging,” Vialli told Sky Sports, “the company has already made important steps and if it were to get this top player it would be competitive not only in Italy but also in Europe.”

Having gone 38 official games undefeated, Juventus are looking to strengthen and give more width to their squad in order to return to a competitive level in Europe.

Edinson Cavani and Robin van Persie are two strikers that have been sought after by the Old Lady, with the latter more likely to go to Manchester City.
