Mauricio Isla says he is overjoyed to be at ‘one of the best teams in the world’ after he and Kwadwo Asamoah signed for Juventus from Udinese.

Weeks after having formed an agreement with the club, the duo officially put pen to paper on Monday afternoon.

“I'm in one of the best teams in the world,” the Chilean told Juventus.com. “What is important for the coach and the club is to do well next year in both the league and the Champions League.”

Isla will be forming part of an immense midfield which consists of his fellow countryman Arturo Vidal, but he insists that the Juventus man never played a part in bringing him to the club.

“Vidal did not have to convince me, everyone knows the history of Juventus.

“He is one of the best Chilean players and it is important for me is to arrive here with him.”

Isla will set back Juventus at €18.8m for his transfer, while Asamoah will cost €0.8m less than his fellow teammate.
