Lazio’s already decimated squad has taken a turn for the worse as Miroslav Klose has been forced to miss out on the trip to Madrid due to injury.

Lazio are set to face Atletico Madrid in the return leg for the Europa League, in which the Aquile will be hoping they can pull off a miracle comeback after losing the home leg 3-1.

With an injury crisis on their hands, it seems that coach Edy Reja is ready to bow out of the Europa League in hope of his team being able to focus on Serie A, as well as recovering their injured players.

Klose has been left in Italy due to a sore back, while Ibor Kozak and youth team player Antonio Rozzi have been added to the traveling list in hope of boosting the attack.

They are already missing Tommaso Rocchi, Cristian Brocchi, Lorik Cana, Giuseppe Biava and Marius Stankevicius.

Lazio squad: Berardi, Bizzarri, Marchetti; Diakitè, Dias, Konko, Lulic, Zauri, Barluzzi, Fagioli, Serpieri; Candreva, Gonzalez, Hernanes, Ledesma, Matuzalem, Mauri, Zampa; Kozak, Rozzi.
