Diego Forlan is ready to make his debut for Inter against Marseille in the Champions League and says he feels a lot better than when he first arrived at the club.

The Uruguayan forward joined Inter in the summer of 2011 but was eligible to feature for the Nerazzurri in the Champions League after having already featured for Atletico Madrid in their qualifying campaign.

However, after an injury hit first eight months and with the return of Champions League upon the team in crisis, Forlan has confirmed he is feeling good and hopes he can play part in an Inter revival.

“I feel better now than when I arrived,” Forlan told il Correire dello Sport.

“I want to do my best to score for Inter in the Champions League like I did a few years ago. I must still find the condition after being a few months off, but I want it so much.”

The Velodrome stadium isn’t new to the striker after having played against the 2004 Champions with his former Spanish club in 2008.

“We want to do well, but Marseille is a strong team in the previous phase has achieved important results. I've played in this stadium, where Marseille is strong (0-0 with Atletico Madrid in 2008-09). We will have to be ready and not make mistakes.”
