Three Serie A games have been moved to earlier timeslots this weekend in hope of avoiding postponement due to the arctic conditions in the peninsula.

The three matches to be brought forward are: Roma-Inter, Milan-Napoli and Cesena-Catania. They were all set to be played in the evening kick-off times of Week 22, but they are now scheduled for the middle afternoon.

Cesena-Catania and Roma-Inter will keep its match day as Saturday but will be played at 16:00 (SA Time), while Milan-Napoli has been removed from Sundays evening’s prime-time viewing and moved to the main Sunday slot, also at 16:00.

The decision was made by Lega president Maurizio Beretta to move the matches after having to postpone four midweek Serie A games, due to the icy and snowing conditions around the country.

On Wednesday, Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani appealed to the Lega Calcio in order to request the match between Milan and Napoil be postponed due to extreme low temperatures that the fans would have to endure while sitting at the late game.
