Milan confirm Cassano departure

The feisty Italian’s future was always put in doubt after he noted, during the European Championships, that he was unsure of where his future may be, given the sales of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva.
With Pazzini deemed surplus to requirements under Andrea Stramaccioni at Inter, rumours sparked of a possible swap between the two San Siro clubs, and it has since been confirmed following the Trofeo Berlusconi match against Juventus on Sunday.
“He has asked to be sold,” Allgeri told Milannews. “[Adriano] Galliani has been clear. If he remains he will be a Milan player.
“His reasons for leaving? He knows. The players must remain at the club only if they want to.”
After refusing to make any comments about Pazzini in recent interviews, Allegri added: “Pazzini is a great player.”
