Milan’s sporting director Adriano Galliani has admitted the possibility of a swap deal with Inter over Antonio Cassano.

The 30-year-old is set to leave Milanello after two-and-a-half years with the Rossoneri, adding to the mass exodus of players at Milan, and it seems likely he will head to across town to Inter with Giampaolo Pazzini coming the other way.

"There are two weeks of the market, we will see what happens,” Galliani announced after Milan’s 3-2 loss to Juventus in the Trofeo Berlusconi.

“There is a negotiation in progress [for Cassano], it is useless to deny it; something is cooking.”

Despite the bitter rivalry between Inter and Milan, there have been nearly two decades of players involved in cross-city moves and Galliani admits it could occur again.

“Sure [a deal with Inter cold happen], in the past there have been exchanges between the two companies in Milan.”
