Milito wants better Inter
Diego Milito
The Nerazzurri came into the second leg, at home, with a 3-0 aggregate in favour of them, but the unknown of entity Hajduk surprised the club with two quick goals to put pressure on Inter.
"We were up against a side that was in better physical shape than we were,” the striker told Sky Italia.
“It was a tough match, you could see that, and not because we underestimated them but because it's 9 August.
“Obviously we'd have preferred to go through with a different result but we'll take it anyway. We have to knuckle down now."
Andrea Stramaccioni’s side progress into the final round of qualifiers on a 3-2 aggregate.
