Milan target Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has admitted he would like to join the Rossoneri in the summer saying ‘I hope they find an agreement’.

Despite the club’s refusal to sell him, the Montepellier skipper has been constantly linked with a move to the San Siro and he has confirmed he wouldn’t say no to the move.

“I know there is an interest and it cannot but make me happy,” he told Tuttowebmercato in an exclusive interview. “Milan is a great team, one of the best in the world.

“It is normal they [Montepellier] would be resistant, I am the captain, the symbol of the squad. But I hope they find an agreement. How do you say no?”

The defender is set to take over the role left by Thiago Silva’s move to Paris Saint-Germain and he still believes the club will remain top despite the losses over the summer.

"Absolutely,” continued the Central African Republican. “Milan is a great team; it has very strong players, all at a good level.

“It would be nice to play with the Rossoneri."
