Matri to Milan: “Most logical solution”

After finding playing time hard to come by at the end of last season, the striker’s future at Turin has become unknown as the Bianconeri look to bring in a lethal front-man.
He has since been linked with a return to the club he grew up in and to the coach, Massimiliano Allegri, which nurtured him through his breakthrough years at Cagliari.
“A striker for AC Milan? The most logical solution, following the recent events at Milan, would seem to be Alessandro Matri,” Caira told TuttoWebMercato, “for recruitment and cost it is definitely more beneficial than others such as [Leandro] Damiao and [Edin] Dzeko."
Milan have also been linked with the possibility of bringing in Dzeko from Manchester, to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but with his salary demands too high it seems unlikely the transfer will happen.
