Taye Taiwo has thanked Milan for making his ‘dream come’ but explains why he opted to move away from Milanello.

The Nigerian defender will be running plying his trade in Ukraine next season after he completed his move to Dynamo Kiev after a disappointing spell with the Rossoneri.

“I thank Milan, it is a great club but I am not the type of player to take a salary just to watch from the bench,” revealed the full-back.

“To play at Milan was a dream come to, but I didn’t have the opportunity to out myself out there, it is because of this I have chosen to leave.”

Taiwo joined Milan 12 months ago, where he featured four times before being shipped of on-loan to Queens Park Rangers for the final six months of the season.
