Pazzini seals Inter win
Inter came back from a Tommaso Rocchi goal to win 2-1 against Lazio with Diego Milito and Giampaolo Pazzini the heroes of the San Siro.
Right from the first whistle the action hit the field when Giampaolo Pazzini was incorrectly flagged offside, before Ricky Alvarez smashed over after a poor Federico Marchetti clearance.
There was some confusion when Lazio thought they had gone in front on 14 minutes, when Lucio stumbled on the edge of his own area, allowing Rocchi to go clear, but the Brazilian did well to get back to deflect the shot onto the upright of an open goal.
But they took the lead on the half- hour mark, where Rocchi rounded Lucio to strike an angled drive into the bottom far corner across Julio Cesar.
Nevertheless the Nerazzurri decided that they weren’t to give up when, in the final minute, Milito and Alavarez worked a quick one-two to finish across Marchetti from a tight angle.
After the restart both coaches opted to make a changes to their starting line-up as Wesley Sneijder and Joel Obi came on to move Yuto Nagatomo back into defence, while Francelino Matuzalem replaced Hernanes due to injury.
Following his second attempt of the half, Pazzini put Inter into the lead as he lobbed his effort with the outside of his foot over Marchetti.
While moments later Lazio missed an opportunity to equalize when Rocchi combined with Miroslav Klose but he fired straight at Julio Cesar from close range.
On the other end, Sneijder saw two of his attempts saved by the Lazio shot-stopper, while substitute Dijbril Cisse scuffed his effort, seeing him continue his goalscoring drought since the opening game of the campaign.
Despite the penalty appeals for the Biancocelesti there was no going back as Inter sealed a 2-1 to see them continue on their impressive winning streak.
