Juve extend lead in log standings
Juventus' Claudio Marchisio
The first 45 brought about a goalless draw between to the teams, but an impressive response by Mirko Vucinic and Claudio Marchisio wrapped up the three points for the league leaders.
Juventus came into the game looking to extend their nine-point lead over second placed Napoli by coming up against a Bologna side who so frequently break the bigger teams.
Bologna had beaten Inter last weekend with a narrow 1-0 win thanks to a goal by Alberto Gilardino, handing them confidence for the fixture.
The striker nearly put the hosts in front by breaking through Juve's defence and forcing Gianluigi Buffon to rush of his line to make the save, only for it to fall right to Alessandro Diamanti, but he fired just wide.
Sebastian Giovinco then tried his luck in the 18th minute, when he twisted and turned through three defenders before unleashing a shot at goal, however, his effort was well saved by Gianluca Curci.
A second effort for Juventus was immediately followed up by Mirko Vucinic, following some great combination play with Arturo Vidal, but is effort sailed over the bar.
The Bianconeri continued to dominate play and Curci was once again called into question when Simone Padoin filtered in a dangerous ball into the box, 36 minute in.
Bologna thought they had taken the lead in the 52nd minute, when Gilardino found the back of he net for a second successive game, only for this one to be ruled offside.
On the stroke of the hour the deadlock finally broke, and in favour of Juventus, as Vucinic snuck home a low dive from just inside the box to give his side a sense of relief after struggling to break down Bologna.
Thirteen minutes later and the reigning Champions managed to make it 2-0, with a great run by Claudio Marchisio, which saw him beat the offside trap and pounce on a ball before slotting it past Curci.
Those goals didn't see the Rossoblu give up in their efforts of scoring a goal but it wasn't to be as Juventus came out 2-0 winners.
