Saint-Etienne’s Gabonese international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a brace on Sunday against Brest in the Ligue 1.

Following two defeats against Lille and Toulouse, ‘les Verts’ were forced to react against the Breton club at home at Geoffroy Guichard.

And as early as the 13th minute, the young striker flat-footed the ball to score on a Hamouma cross, thereby opening his goal count for the season.

On the half-hour mark, the Gabonese saw his strike hit the posts of Brest’s Thébaux, but Hamouma was on cue and doubled the score for the locals.

Guilavogui aggravated the visitors further on the hour mark with a third goal, before the Panther made a second attack two minutes later to make it a brace with a beautiful left-footed strike.

This convincing victory 4-0 by Saint-Etienne has got the season going for Christophe Galtier’s men, as well as that of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is one of the potential candidates for the title of Best Striker of the 2012-2013 Ligue 1 season.
