Sevilla forward Manu del Moral says he has not considered leaving the club despite battling to get regular game time.

The 28-year-old has made 15 La Liga appearances for the Sevillistas this season, but has only started four of those matches.

He has also had to deal with injury and being moved to different positions, but he says he is determined to regain the form which saw his netting 10 league goals last season.

"This season has been irregular on a personal level due to various circumstances,” he told the club’s website.

“At the beginning of the season they opted for a game plan with a forward and took away the work of an attacking midfielder, which is where I had the most matches last year.

“I saw myself as almost obliged to opt for a position on the left wing and afterwards I had an injury that put me out for a month and a half. One thing has followed another.

“Over recent weeks I'm having better feelings, the gaffer is putting me behind the forward, which is a position where I feel good, he's seeing me on better form there because I believe that it's the position that I adapt to the best.”

The Spaniard joined Sevilla from Getafe at the start of the 2011/12 season, but he says he has not been tempted to search for more game time elsewhere.

“Leaving hasn't crossed my mind, but merely to continue working,” said Manu. “Everything that I have achieved since I started to play football has been based on sacrifice.

“All of these years playing professionally I've had the luck of having minutes and scoring goals, and now, when things aren't going well I believe that I have to push more, which has helped me to mature and to grow.”
