Messi wants to retire at Barca
Lionel Messi, Barcelona
The 24-year-old was speaking to journalists in Bogota ahead of Friday’s friendly international between Argentina and Colombia.
“I’m not thinking about a move to Real Madrid,” Messi told reporters.
“Barcelona is my home and I would love to be able to play here my whole career, until I retire. I hope it works out like that."
Barcelona recently confirmed that Tito Vilanova has signed a two-year deal with the club, and Messi says he’s looking forward to working with the new coach.
"We're very happy that Tito is replacing Guardiola. We all know him,” said Messi.
“He works in the same way as Guardiola. Obviously Pep's departure hurt us because we weren't expecting it, but the way we work won't change a lot with Tito, everything will be very much the same.”
