Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin says he is not planning to leave Real Madrid despite his struggle to break into the team.

The Turkish midfielder joined Real ahead of the 2011/12 season from Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund, but failed to get regular game time after battling with injuries.

Earlier reports had suggested that he was set to join Tottenham Hotspur in a deal which would see Croatian midfielder Luka Modric joining the Whites, however, Sahin says he’s happy at Madrid.

"Since I arrived here, it has been like living a dream," he is quoted as saying by Fichajes.

"It is one of the best clubs in the world and for this reason I do not see why I should go.

“I have no intention of leaving.”

The 23-year-old made just 10 appearances for jose Mourinho’s side in all competitions last season.
