Spain midfielder Jesus Navas says he is happy with their progress to the next round of Euro 2012 and has no preference regarding their next opponents.

The Sevilla winger came on as a substitute and scored the only goal of the match during Spain’s 1-0 win over Croatia with two minutes left on the clock.

“Croatia were great opponents, and played on an equal level to us,” Navas told reporters.

“Their marking was pretty good, and it was very difficult for us to get through. Nevertheless, we were able to fight our way to this victory.”

Vicente del Bosque’s men finished on top of Group C with Italy joining them in the quarterfinals as runners-up.

They will now face the second-placed side in Group D which could be anyone between France, England and co-hosts Ukraine, and Navas says they are prepared for any team.

“Whoever we have to face in the quarter-finals, we will stick to our game,” said Navas.

“I am really looking forward to whoever we will have to play.”
