Higuain: “Messi is incredible”

The two players have been linking up well upfront and Higuain believes their understanding has improved in the past year.
“Messi is incredible, he really is”, Higuain told Argentinian daily Olé. “It’s a pleasure to play alongside him; it’s very easy to forge an understanding with someone who plays like he does.
“Overall, I think that since our meeting with Chile last year, we are now really linking up well with Leo.
“In the one he scored against Ecuador, I played a one-two with him but returned the ball with force; he came racing in and rammed the ball into the top corner.
“He does it with all of us; he’s three metres behind you but coming charging in at full throttle.”
Higuain is a star in his own right and his Real Madrid side recently ousted Lionel Messi’s Barcelona to clinch the La Liga title.
“I know it sounds crazy, but how do I not want to have my photograph taken with someone like him?” he said.
“It doesn’t happen with other players but it’s strange to share a changing room with a player like that. It’s difficult to explain.”
