Garcia eager on Madrid move
La Liga
The 21-year-old is currently being hunted by the Whites for their B-team, and he says he is keen to make the switch as he would be one step closer to realizing his dream of playing for Jose Mourinho’s side.
Cordoba president Carlos Gonzalez admitted on Tuesday that he had rejected Madrid’s first offer for the player, although he did not disclose the amount, but Garcia hopes the two parties will reach an agreement.
"I will not force my exit from Cordoba," Garcia told reporters at a press conference.
"This is something that the two clubs must solve.
"I owe everything to Cordoba, who gave me the opportunity for Madrid to be interested in me.
"Real Madrid are Real Madrid, the best club in the world, and there is the chance to play there if I join Castilla. Whatever happens, happens.
"Ever since I was a kid, I have watched all of Madrid's stars play. I would like to play there, but I cannot think about that now, out of respect for Cordoba."
Garcia starred for Cordoba in the Segunda Division last season, scoring 19 goals to help the club finish in fifth place.
