Rakitic boosted by Euro 2012 form

The Croatian was one of the noticeable players as his side crashed out of the group stage from a tough Group C which included Italy, the Republic of Ireland and eventual winners Spain.
"I had a great group of players around me but I was very confident in my game and my movements,” Rakitic told the club’s website. “I think the Euro has gone very well for me and I must continue at that pace."
The 28-year-old joined Sevilla from German side Schalke during the January 2011 transfer window, and although he was one of the regular players, he believes there’s room for improvement in the coming season.
“Joining Seville was a good move for me but at first I did struggle with injuries, which affected my progress,” he said.
“But, the important thing now is that I'm okay, I played a very good Euro and I have great confidence, great enthusiasm and all I say is I cannot wait to start now and I cannot to start training with my friends.
"I am very proud to be a Sevilla player, to wear this shirt and I want to be here for a long time."
