Cata: “Atletico showed more interest”

The 32-year-old centre-back was a prime target for the Sevillistas only to end up joining the Rojiblancos.
“I think that Sevilla couldn’t agree a deal with Getafe and Atlético showed more interest,” the Argentine told Marca.
“The club spoke with me, we reached an agreement and everything happened very quickly.”
Sevilla have signed Hedwiges Maduro who is capable of playing in central defence and midfield from Valencia, but are said to be looking for another solid defender.
