Spain coach Vicente del Bosque says he is confident that he will have a fit squad for the European Championship in June.

Reports from Spain suggested that the coach was concerned about players like Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta sustaining muscle injuries, but he dismissed these reports saying he is expecting everyone to be ready for the continental tournament.

“I am confident that the players with arrive in good condition. The reason for some injuries for some players is the hard work they have to do, playing a match every three days,” he told reporters.

On Friday Del Bosque will name his squad for the friendly against Venezuela on February 29, but he says “it is not one hundred percent guaranteed to be the Euro squad".

The 61-year-old could not be tricked into revealing the make-up of his squad or whether or not Valencia striker Roberto Soldado has finally cracked a call-up, but instead told reporters to wait for the official announcement on Friday.
