Pepe says Coentrao is the best in world

The former Benfica player has battled to hold down a place in the starting line-up since joining the Whites at the start of last season due to the strong competition from Brazilian fullback Marcelo.
However, Pepe believes he is worthy of playing for Jose Mourinho’s side and has nothing to prove.
"He's the best fullback in the world," Pepe told reporters. “I believe Madrid bear the privilege of having him.
"Fabio doesn't have to show anything to anybody. He has a lot of attributes, a lot of qualities.
"He's young. He's shown that he is a great player. He's made the World Cup and the Euros. None of his capabilities are in doubt."
Despite the challenges of moving to a new league and facing tough competitions, Pepe is hopeful that Coentrao has the right mentality to fight for his place and succeed in this star-studded side.
"He had a somewhat bad experience coming to Spain but I believe that presently he has an opportunity to be able to play for the best club in the world,” he said.
"I believe that Fabio has that patience. He will be working hard to succeed for Madrid. I believe that the warmth the people have given to me they will give to him."
Coentrao is tied to the Spanish giants until 2017 after signing a six-year contract.
