Kaka: ‘Cristiano is the most complete player’
Kaka, Real Madrid
The star midfielder shared his thoughts in an interview with Brazilian TV show ‘Kajuru Pregunta’, where he also spoke about his frustrations regarding the injuries that threatened his football career.
“(Cristiano) Ronaldo is the best player that I’ve played with. I played against Zidane, but not with him. Ronaldo is the best because of his skill and speed. Ronaldinho is very close to that level,” said Kaka.
"Choosing the best player in the world is relative because it depends on what you do collectively. (Lionel) Messi and Cristiano are the best players but I'd say Cristiano Ronaldo is the most complete player in modern football. He scores with both his feet, from headers and from free-kicks."
Kaka was named in the Brazilian squad for the November friendlies against Gabon and Egypt, his first inclusion since the 2010 FIFA World Cup, but could not make the trip due to a calf-muscle strain.
However, the 29-year-old says he is happy to be playing at the top level again following a discouraging period where he was unsure about his future.
"I had disheartening days because I trained and worked hard but still didn't know what was wrong with me. I was nevertheless sure I would perform at a high level again and I want to be a star player.
“I don't know if I'll be the player I was at Milan, but I want to be an important footballer and help my team. That's my motivation," he said.
