Barcelona will look to maintain their chances of finishing with 100 La Liga points when they host Real Valladolid on Sunday night.

League Overview

The Liga BBVA or Primera Division is Spain’s top flight football division and features 20 teams. 

Defending champions Real Madrid have won the most La Liga titles (32), eleven more than their rivals Barcelona.

Deportivo La Coruna, Celta Vigo and Real Valladolid gained promotion to La Liga, replacing Villarreal, Sporting Gijón, and Racing Santander, who were all relegated at the end of last season. 

The 2012/13 campaign will begin on 18 August 2012, and will end on 1 June 2013.
