Giroud edges closer to Gunners move
Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud
Montpellier's deputy president Laurent Nicollin told local French newspaper Midi Libre that talks were progressing well.
"Discussions are happening and going well, as part of the (release) clause set. Things are moving serenely," Nicollin said.
The prospective deal for 25-year-old Giroud is reportedly worth around €12million.
Giroud scored 25 goals last season for the 2011/2012 French Ligue One champions.
