Following announcements of his arrival in Turkey or Saudi Arabia, the Citizens’ Ivoirian defender, Kolo Touré could finally settle at Barça.

Kolo Abib Touré is in search of a new destination due to a lack of game time at the English champion, where Vincent Kompany and Joleon Lescott take preference over the Ivoirian.

And until not long ago, the hottest trails seemed to be leading to Turkish club, Bursaspor, or to Saudi outfit, Al Hilal.

But according to the Spanish media, FC Barcelona coach, Tito Vilanova, has the ex-Académicien in his sights.

The Blaugrana club had made the recruitment of a central defender one of their priorities, and the failure of negotiations between the Catalans and Athletic Bilbao on the transfer of Javi Martinez could see Barça initiate plan B.

Although he is equally interested in Liverpool’s Danish international, Daniel Agger, Vilanova would not be indifferent to the experience and versatility of the former Gunner.

In the meantime, Yaya’s older brother remains concentrated on his club, for which he predicts a difficult season.

“It will be difficult to defend the title because every team will try to beat us.  But when you are champion, you have to behave like a champion,” stated the Elephants defender.
