Arsene Wenger says Arsenal's 2-1 Asia Tour win over Malaysia XI on Tuesday was a good workout.

Arsenal trailed Malaysia XI 1-0 going into the break in Kuala Lumpur before Thomas Eisfeld and Chuks Aneke scored for The Gunners in the 87th and 90th minutes respectively.

"We are far away physically and tactically we still have some work to do," Wenger told Arsenal’s official website.

"Technically it was not bad considering because the pitch was not easy and the pace of Malaysia was quite good.

"Overall we still have some tactical work to do and some physical work but don't forget that some players have only had two or three days training.

"Some others have only had a maximum of seven or eight so physically we are far from what we can produce."

Arsenal are now in China on the second stop of their three-leg Asia Tour.

The Gunners face Manchester City on July 27 in their penultimate friendly at the Bird Nest Stadium in Beijing.
