Yakubu in China
Nigeria striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni is expected to make his debut for new Chinese club Guangzhou R&F next week.

The Nigeria international has sealed a three-year deal with the Chinese Super league side.

The former Blackburn Rovers striker arrived Guangzhou last week and has been training with the team since at Sanshui training ground.

Aiyegbeni has been assigned jersey number 25 and will be presented to the media next week, according to the club’s official website.

The new Chinese Super league team expect Yakubu to let his experience bear on the team after several goal-filled seasons in the top flight in England.

Akanni Sunday Wasiu of Shenyang Dongjin and Peter Utaka of Dalian Aerbin are the other Nigerians playing in China.
