Echiejile wanted by Norwich City
Elderson Echiejile
Top sources informed MTNFootball.com that Norwich City are the latest club to indicate interest in the Nigeria international defender.
The others are Greek champions Olympiacos and Real Mallorca, who feature in the Spanish La Liga.
“Everything is pointing towards Elderson’s exit from Braga with Norwich the latest to show interest in signing him,” a close confidant of the player disclosed Friday.
“There is also interest from a top club in Italy, but how serious this is will only be known later this month.”
Nigeria international midfielder Dickson Etuhu as well as the Fashanu brothers, Justin and John, have featured for The Canaries.
Braga have already surrendered in a bid to hold on to the left full back by signing two new players in that position in the coming season.
Echiejile himself informed MTNFootball.com that there is no truth in reports in Nigerian newspapers that he is about to extend his contract at Portuguese club Braga as he is presently in Europe still on holidays.
“I’m still on holidays and reports that I have been recalled by Braga to come and extend my contract are very much off the mark,” Echiejile declared.
